The #HeadToWCEU ride was planned to cover 3,167 km from Berlin to Porto in 2020. The event was cancelled before it took place.
The journey organisers described
Big Orange Heart’s 10 December 2019 route update described a planned ride from the 2019 WordCamp Europe venue in Berlin to the intended 2020 venue in Porto. Its proposed route totalled 3,167 km, refining earlier descriptions of roughly 3,000 km. The post named Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal and described stops near WordPress communities, including Münster, Nijmegen, Eindhoven, Antwerp, Brussels, Paris, Bordeaux and Irun. It also planned to follow the Camino Francés via Pamplona and Santiago de Compostela. The organisers said the route could still change.
The event did not go ahead
Big Orange Heart announced cancellation on 10 March 2020, citing the safety risks of COVID-19.
